    The Special Collections Division houses the genealogy and local history materials of the Akron-Summit County Public Library. Our goal is to collect, preserve, and provide access to the history of Summit County, and to continue to maintain one of the area’s most extensive genealogy collections.

Ancestry Offers FREE Access to 1930 Census Records

Ancestry.com is offering FREE access to its 1930 United States Federal Census records through Monday, February 20.  Discover the lives of your family 82 years ago and learn the following: names of members of each household, marriage information, occupation, and more.  Remember that you can access our subscription to Ancestry Library Edition from any Akron-Summit County Public Library location.
